Clever Leaves CLVR stock caught my eye a couple of weeks ago when CLVR stock shot up about 320% in a couple of days' time. I am in the process of getting ready for cannabis federal legalization and busy dividing up cannabis stocks into groups that will perform well overall as well as once cannabis federal legalization kicks in. CLVR stock is one that upon news of cannabis federal legalization, CLVR stock is very likely to explode upward (It just did). So, getting together the CLVR stock forecast is something I wanted to do.
First, Clever Leaves an international cannabis company with potential. In fact, Clever Leaves just singed a licensing & distribution deal where they are going to be in some 20,000 pharmacies throughout Germany. Germany, of course, is in the process of legalizing cannabis. Expectations are that this will drive revenues higher. Companies that are building the infrastructure now are going to reap substantial benefits in the future.
I will get into that below. But, for now, there are two other things I wanted to point out that make CLVR stock an interesting cannabis stock to buy now.
Thanks for the update on this one!
I bought around thousand shares before it shot up but i am in it for the long hull anyhow..
That just goes to show you wants going to happen to some of the cannabis stocks here in the near future.
Cantor Fitzgerald has initiated coverage on Clever Leaves Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: CLVR) with an Overweight rating and a price target of $4.50.
-
The stock offers better relative "pure-play" exposure to growth in overseas medical cannabis markets and eventually to recreational legalization in those markets, Cantor writes.
-
According to the analyst Clever Leaves, a large-scale, low-cost producer of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis, could be among the world's top five cannabinoid exporters by the end of 2023.

G-7 producers dominate end markets like Germany, but CLVR management expects to gain market share as more markets open to Colombian and Portuguese THC flowers.
-
The company also benefits from several new distribution agreements, and its growth costs are sometimes one-tenth that of Canadian growers.
-
With only $2 million in cannabinoid exports, there is a "show me" story for now. Cantor models CLVR cannabinoid sales of $27 million by 2023.
-
The company has $27 million left in an equity facility that will be tapped in the months ahead. News flow about rec legalization in markets like Germany and Colombia may provide windows of opportunity for capital raises.

Price Action: CLVR shares are up 3.26% at $0.95 during the market session on the last check Monday.
@dhtaylor Clarification. I was confused with the phrases "recreational use" and "private use", and I don't think there are clear definitions that people understand. lol
Private use of marijuana is already legal in Columbia. They can grow it for private use, within limits of course. So, I think that almost makes recreational use a mute point, not worth even thinking about IMHO. except, I think States like SD, hindsight should of called it "private use", and not Recreational use. Republicans destroyed the phrase recreational use by plastering sign on church properties across the State, and recreational use was rejected by voters this last time, but passed the time before by I think a 11 point spread, but the SD Supreme court and the Governor overturned it due to some BS excuse, they dont use on other amendments, IMHO,.
I think both CLVR and FLGC that are already on nasdaq are also already well positioned in the US market already for CBD/hemp products already, and exporting to other countries already.
I am reading new phrases like International cannabis 1.0, 2.0, etc. I think Columbia is at the for front of international cannabis traded as a commodity world wide!
FLGC and CLVR are both on the nasdaq, both massively undervalued like darn near 100%!!!
I also like Khiron, but they are not trying to get into US market, and thats OK, IMHO.
I also like Inter cure and PCLOF, but I currently don't own shares of either.
I think CLVR and FLGC will be at the top of International cannabis acquisition targets.
I know this is clever leaves topic, but wanted to touch on "International Cannabis" companies already there and on the nasdaq, but not there years far as Ebidta, but I think they will eventually get there!
I admit I have a few thousand bucks or more invested in 3 different Columbian cannabis companies. Khiron, FLGC, CLVR, and I think all three will either get acquired, or eventually become well know international cannabis companies specializing in many things, and especially world wide cannabis trade. But I tend to paint a rossie picture glass always full of water. lol I think 10 years from now, if I am still alive above the dirt line I will be very glad I did invest in those 3 companies.
I think the phrase "private use" is much more socially acceptable than "recreational use." I think this is a valid point that affected the SD recreational use amendment to be rejected by voters.
I watched a video interview about a year ago with both the CEO's of Khiron and Clever leaves. Investors asked questions and could ask either CEO of either company. It changed my view on cannabis investing. It immediately, got me focusing on cannabis as a world wide traded commodity.
I do think some people are trying to poo poo on Columbian Cannabis companies, and I want to point that out.
I think Columbia to Cannabis,,, is like Saudi Arabia is to the world wide oil trade!
Anyone who tries to tell me that Columbia is not well positioned to take advantage of world wide cannabis trade, they need to explain why was it the first country to require health insurance companies to cover medical marijuana.
Columbia already has private use legal, so the people can grow cannabis for their own private use.
Many analysts seem to be running from Columbia cannabis stocks on the nasdaq, but not doing the same thing for MSO's. I think that is obvious bias, nobody but me is talking about. I am just talking about it to myself. lol, until now. jmho

Interesting distinction: private versus recreational. And, if another round came in and relabeled legislation as allowing for private use, chances would likely improve.

@dhtaylor Thanks D.H.
The thing is it doesnt really matter imho because there are many federally legal hemp related products as powerful as dispensary products, and the MSO's are starting to notice they are losing business to companies mass producing very powerful but federally legal hemp products and they are being shipped to all 50 states.
When they federally legalized hemp, they basically legalized cannabis(JMHO) and didnt know how powerful other cannabinoids are in hemp. You almost have to see it to believe it.
example, THCP is 30X as powerful as THC delta9 and THCP is not illegal and a THCP federally legal hemp gummy can, well, knock your sox off. Its federally legal and been shipping to all 50 states for months now.
thousands of reviews saying these powerful hemp products as good as expensive dispensary products.
