@aconceptsketchgmail-com This is an important shift.  Although, really, with nearly every American favoriting this, it took this rag a minute to get there.  But, the continuous shifting we are seeing is making sense that there is going to be a big change ahead... and stocks will follow.

"Apparently Sen. Booker is already working with other members to draft legislation for SAFE+ which could potentially include some/all of the following: a 280E provision, up-listing language such as the Climb Act, veterans affairs, and SBA loan language."

It is patently absurd that these Chinese fake companies can list on the NASDAQ and American cannabis companies with billions in revenue are not allowed.

I hope those 80 some thousand IRS agents get assigned to go after illicit cannabis! (Seriously) I hope people email their lawmakers and tell them that!

It makes sense to me for IRS agents to go after people who intentionally operate an illicit business avoiding paying any taxes, which hurts the legal businesses taht pay their taxes, and send agents harassing the legal small businesses.

If, We the people tell our lawmakers, what we want these new IRS agents to be trained on and focused on, and where to locate them, well, it will happen. IF not, vote them out, & replace them with lawmakers who will.

@aconceptsketchgmail-com I just don't understand why they would target after the election to put something forward.  Makes no sense.  There's no benefit.  Still, anything is better than nothing and, we definitely need something.  Thanks for posting this.

Below is a paragraph from this article in The National Law Review https://www.natlawreview.com/article/summer-2022-brief-cannabis-legalization-update that sounds really promising. If they can pass this, maybe Democrats will be more willing to pass Safe Banking without much added that Republicans won't vote for.

"Finally, we are tracking a proposed amendment jointly introduced by Reps. Barbara Lee (D-CA) and Dave Joyce (R-OH), co-chairs of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, to the long-standing Congressional Spending Bill rider. Currently, and for the past several years, the rider has prohibited the Department of Justice from spending federal funds to prosecute activity in compliance with state medical cannabis laws. If passed, the proposed amendment to the Fiscal Year 2023 federal spending legislation would also extend the current prohibition to activity in compliance with adult use cannabis laws. As of this alert’s publication date, the amendment had received approval from the House Appropriations Committee and is expected to receive a vote from the House in mid-September."

Interesting thing about this particular approach is that the amendment is in the appropriations bill.  No need to push through the senate filibuster rules since appropriations are not included in that.  If the amendment is basically SAFE+, with the support from the senate, this could fly through.  Hopefully, Schumer can see his efforts were an apocalyptic fail and this is the only way to get something done.

I'd be more interested in seeing what the amendment actually states.
